ROUTE SUMMARY
Day 1: Cusco – Sacred Valley

Day 2: km 104 – Winay Huayna – Aguas Calientes

ITINERARY SACRED VALLEY + INCA TRAIL 3D/2N
Day 1: CUSCO – VALLE SAGRADO
We will pick you up around 07:00 hrs in the morning with our private van. Our first stop will be at the archaeological site of Pisac where you can see an immense Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs and learn about the incredible terraces used in agriculture during the Inca period. Then we head to the Urubamba valley where you will have a delicious lunch, we continue with our excursion until we reach the archaeological site of Maras Moray. This place has three amphitheater type terraces made by the Incas and used for agricultural production. Then we will visit the salt mines known as “the greenhouses of the Incas”, an ancient salt production center in pre-Inca times. Next, we will travel to the archaeological park where you will learn about the incredible architecture of the temple of the sun. After exploring, we will board our train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night at the hotel designated by the agency.

DAY 2: CUSCO – KM 104 –WINAY HUAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES

There you will have organic lunch, after enjoying lunch we continue our walk to Puerta del Sol (intipunku), you will be able to see the lost city of the Incas with beautiful views.
After having a nice experience we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in our 3-star hotel,

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Our last day of the short Inca trail, after eating the delicious breakfast, our guide will go to your hotel to pick you up. Then we will board our bus to the control gate.
Once we pass the control, your guide will spend around 2 hours explaining about the highlights, the stories, mysteries and incredible Inca technology. Then you will have time to explore on your own or take additional hikes such as Huayna Picchu or Montaña Picchu; To enter you must book in advance. After exploring we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, there you will have your lunch (not included). After enjoying, we will board our train back to Ollantaytambo, our private van will pick you up from the train station back to Cusco, you will be at your hotel around 06:30 in the afternoon.

If the strike or roadblock occurs on the day of your tour departure, we will take you to Aguas Calientes, one night before your trip. And you will spend the night in your 3-star hotel.
If the strike occurs the day your 2 day Inca trail trek ends, we will send you our van to the hydroelectric, therefore you will have to walk for approximately 2 hours from Aguas Calientes to the hydroelectric, then we will drive in our van for 7 hours to Cusco You will be at your hotel around 11:00 p.m.
RETURN BY TRAIN FROM MACHU PICCHU TO OLLANTAYTAMBO
There are several train options available for your round trip from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. These trains offer economy and business class services and feature comfortable seats, with panoramic views throughout the journey.
We use a one-way train schedule at 06:10 a.m., Ollantaytambo to km 104 and your return will be the next day at 2:55 p.m. from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo. This train schedule helps us to arrive early to your hotel.
THE WEATHER OF THE INCA TRAIL 3 DAYS
